As a member of The Gotham team for a decade and working in entertainment for over 15 years, Kia has focused her work in the following areas:

Partnerships

Kia has developed key partnerships to drive success for The Gotham. This includes relationship building with sponsors such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney; higher education institutions such as Colgate University, Rutgers University, and The University of Virginia; as well as non-profit organizations such as her work for The Gotham’s Expanding Communities program.

Gotham Produced Content

Kia produces video content for The Gotham to amplify the work of the organization. This work relates to marketing and fundraising initiatives within the organization. Working with a video production team, Kia collaborates on the vision and execution of the content including developing overall messaging, conducting on-camera interviews, as well as working with the video production team to determine the visual and auditory aspects of the content.

Project Management

Kia supports The Gotham with strategic project management for The Gothams Television and Film Awards as an Executive Producer. Her role as Executive Producers includes oversight of video assets, liaison with studio partners and stakeholders and management of PR and video assets teams. Additionally she producers The Gotham’s flagship program Gotham Week.

Communications

With a background in communications, Kia has overseen the organization’s communication efforts by managing agencies, in-house teams and consultants. Specifically, she provides the overall strategy for the organization’s communications efforts across all channels, programs and events.

Program Development

At The Gotham Kia has created various programs and initiatives to support the film and media ecosystem. Such programs has related to building a 2,500 membership community for the organization, The Gotham’s Owning It and Expanding Communities programs as well as acted as a leader in supporting The Gotham team with other key initiatives such as Gotham EDU and Gotham Week.

Strategic Execution

In collaboration with the other members of The Gotham’s senior leadership team, Kia has supported the organization through moments of change and innovation. Specifically, developing a holistic membership program combining the organization’s workplace membership and year-round membership program as well as spearheading the organization’s efforts to pivot to virtual programming during the pandemic. Additionally, Kia manages the organization’s strategic planning and operating plan efforts as well as works with The Gotham’s Executive Director on Gotham board governance.
